Cabling Standards Organizations

There are several key standards organizations that develop generic cabling requirements, in addition to a number of other groups that develop network standards that affect cabling. In some areas TIA standards development may lead international standards. When this is the case, international standards often build on TIA work and so it is important to be aware of such developments.
